What are Belize’s most romantic spots?
If you are planning a honeymoon or romantic getaway vacation for you and a loved one, no place is better than Belize. The entire country is full of beautiful vistas and sheltered coves. Anyone who has ever been to Belize knows that it is the ideal place to bring someone for a little romance. If you’re are in the midst of planning your romantic vacation, here are some spots you won’t want to leave off of your list:
1. Snorkeling with whale sharks near Placencia Peninsula. While there are plenty of places you can snorkel with sharks in Belize, this spot near Placiencia Peninsula is definitely one of the best. Right near the Silk Caye Marine Reserve, there are plenty of different underwater species to spot, and whale shark sightings are extremely common. If you and your partner love nature and want to have a real adventure, this is the perfect place to do it. Don’t worry, whale sharks may be big, but they are not dangerous!
2. Take a walk through Crooked Tree. Despite its name, Crooked Tree is actually one of the most beautiful places in Belize and is a great place to take your partner. Walking alone through the beautiful tress, swamps, and grasslands that this sanctuary encompasses, you might feel like the last two people on earth. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to see hundreds of different species of animals, including colorful birds and river turtles and howler monkeys.
3. Climb to the top of Xunantunich. It’s hard not to feel inspired when you visit this, one of the most beautiful sites in Belize. Thought a fairly popular attraction, it is also fairly secluded and you are sure not to be bothered as you explore the ruins and have a little alone time. There are lots of different structures to look at and climb and though the site isn’t one of the largest Mayan ruins in the world, it is one of the most unique and best preserved.
4. Spend a day on the beach. If you stay on Ambergris Caye, you are sure to have plenty of beach, all to yourselves. There is simply nothing more romantic than watching the sun go down over the water with someone you love.
